Blue Topaz & Cultured Pearl Necklace This is a cultured pearl and blue topaz necklace. The centerpiece of this approximately 17” necklace is a 9x6 mm pear-shaped sky blue topaz. This blue topaz is a very clean, generously well-cut stone, set in a deep-basket four prong sterling silver setting. The topaz is flanked on either side by single A-grade 4.5 mm pearls (matched to the larger pearls and from the same pearl farm). The necklace consists of A-grade 5-5.5 mm semiround (potato) freshwater pearls from the White Lotus pearl farm in China. These pearls are fantastic! White Lotus keeps their nucleated oysters growing in a pond for at least three years; the proof is in the durable silky luster of the pearls. The pearls have good size/shape uniformity, rare inclusions, very thick nacre, rich pearlescence, and are white with ivory overtones. The pearls and topaz have been strung and professionally hand-knotted on genuine Gudebrod silk. The necklace is secured by a solid, smooth sterling silver fishhook clasp and solid sterling silver bead tips (may substitute filigree fishhook or lobsterclaw clasp). Exquisite!
